Three Decades of Experience in the Automotive Industry
Jonway was one of the earliest Chinese automakers to develop and launch a compact crossover in 2005, and it gained attention for debuting at the 2007 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. It began exporting to Europe in 2008 — one of the first wave of Chinese SUV exports. Fast-forward to 2025, China exported 5.6 million vehicles in 2024 and 62% of every EV sold globally carries a Chinese badge.
During his 2002–2007 tenure as Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, President Xi Jinping visited Jonway Group's headquarters, where he discussed the future of China's automotive industry in a cordial conversation with Chairman Wang Huaiyi.
Former Vice Premier Ma Kai, during his 2013–2018 tenure, inspected Jonway Group’s pure electric SUV in Tianjin, highlighting the strategic importance of advancing EV technology and Jonway’s role in sustainable transportation.
Xia Baolong, during his tenure as governor of Zhejiang Province (2003–2010), toured the Jonway Group factory in 2010. The visit underscored the importance of strengthening ties between the regional government and the industrial sector, highlighting mutual cooperation for economic development.

Sustainable Manufacturing
Jonway EV’s 6.8MW rooftop solar installation surpasses other notable projects in the automotive industry. The system saves 2,210 tons of coal annually and trims 5,850 tons of CO2. It’s the equivalent of planting 292,500 trees or removing over 1,400 diesel vans and trucks under 3.5 tons GVW.
