The L7e-CU category is a specific sub‑classification of heavy quadricycles within the European Union, intended for utility purposes and designed exclusively for the carriage of goods. Under EU Regulation 168/2013, these vehicles are classified as four‑wheeled motor vehicles optimized for urban, short‑distance transport, with a curb weight not exceeding 600 kg (excluding the battery pack) and the vehicle's length must not exceed 3700 mm. Any vehicle longer than 3700 mm is not a genuine L7e‑CU certified vehicle.

The N1 category, in contrast, refers to light commercial vehicles designed for cargo transport, with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of up to 3,500 kg. The vast majority of N1 vehicles are powered by diesel engines. Jonway EV was created to eliminate those diesel‑powered vehicles entirely.

Yes, in most countries our EU WVTA (Whole Vehicle Type Approval) serves as the foundation for local homologation/registration and can be used to streamline the process outside of Europe.

However, since each country has its own regulatory standards, we recommend contacting your relevant local authorities first to inquire about the specific reports and requirements needed for vehicle registration. For example, Brazil maintain their own separate homologation systems, while Thailand accepts ECE reports for local conversion.
